3 Ways to Learn New Words with Places & Countries Game and More

Welcome! Today we have three fun worksheets to help your child or ESL learner expand their vocabulary using places and countries as a theme.

These printable worksheets can be used in various ways, including as a game. It makes it easy for you to tailor lessons to your child’s learning level.

Ways to Play and Learn:

  1. For the images-only page, you can print out two copies, cut out the cards, and make a memory game.
  2. You can do the same for the images with words and cards, asking your child to say the word in order to complete a match.
  3. The multiple-choice page can be completed with a pen, pencil, or device. They can complete the activity on their own or race a friend to the finish.
  4. For children or ESL learners who are just beginning, we recommend starting with images and words. Once they can say the word, move on to the page with just images. Can they remember the word that goes with the image? Once they’ve mastered the second worksheet, move on to multiple choice.
